All Italian homes have a seat at the end of the living room, most of them are in contemporary and modern apartments. But what if the floor of the house had remained as spotless and uncomplicated as possible? Would you prefer a chair or a swing chair? Well, Bliss Architectures proposes a combination between the two. This is floor lamp, a creation of designer Marco Giacomo Vellla which looks incredibly chic and comfortable.

The floor of this apartment is covered with wooden planks and marquen of Abruzzo marble. The wooden legs of the lampshade are made of laminated wood and that give the lamp simple and yet so nice an striking look. The wooden floor also brings us a piece of contrasting material – the metal frame of the lamp is made of brass and leans on a black powder-coated steel tube.

The most striking feature of this lamp is its simple and minimalist design. It has been designed to make a statement and an all over the living room. The special mathematical platform for mounting the lamp on the wooden floor was designed to support the structure. The lamp is finished with a red powder coated aluminum sheet and holes in the metal.

The only thing that bothers me about this lamp is the fact that you can’t see it is made of wood. However, you can use it unlighted and it will look just great. Because it is made of wood, this lamp is safe and eco because it is made directly in France. You can actually use the lamp on the porch if you use it outdoors, but if you want to, you should spend all your time on it. What do you think?{found on archinect}.
